Photo printer & matte paper
🧰 What you'll need
  • ✅ A colour printer (inkjet works well)
  • ✅ Matte photo paper, Letter 8.5 × 11 in or A4
  • ✅ Scissors (a ruler and craft knife or paper trimmer also work)
  • ✅ A passport or book cover to hold the document

📋 Steps

1 Generate the KYC verification document

Open the product page, fill in the order form and place the order. When it finishes, the generated document is saved to your account. Download it — it is sized 12.5 × 17.6 cm, the real data-page size, so it must print at that exact scale.

2 Print it with the right settings

Right-click the saved image and choose Print to open Windows Print Pictures (or your printer's photo dialog).

  • Paper size: Letter 8.5 × 11 in (or A4)
  • Quality: High / Best
  • Paper type: Matte Photo Paper (or the closest match your printer offers)
  • Layout: pick 20 × 25 cm (8 × 10 in) from the list on the right — not “Full page photo” — with 1 copy
  • Untick “Fit picture to frame”. Leaving it ticked rescales and crops the image to fill the paper, which changes the document's size — it must print at its exact dimensions

3 Cut it out

Cut along the printed border with scissors — a ruler and craft knife or a paper trimmer work too. Take your time keeping the lines straight and the corners square.

4 Assemble and verify

Slide the cut-out document into a passport or a book cover so it sits flat and framed. Then proceed with your verification — hold it next to your face for the photo:

Tip

Print a test copy on plain paper first and hold it against a real card. If the size is off, fix the scale or the “Fit picture to frame” setting before using your photo paper.

🛠️ Troubleshooting

The dialog is scaling the image down. Turn on “Fit picture to frame”, choose “Full page photo”, and confirm the paper size matches the paper you loaded.

Set Quality to High/Best and Paper type to Matte Photo Paper. Plain-paper mode lays down less ink and mutes the colours.

Usually glare or blur. Move away from direct light, wipe the lens, and make sure the card text is in focus, not just your face.
